In her photography, Anne-Marie Comte combines a longstanding passion for the physical environment with a deep enthusiasm for interacting with people. She explores those things around her that she loves in the natural and constructed landscape: the city, the mountains, the ocean. She is drawn to the way people use their environment—from rock climbers and boulderers, from athletes to passers-by, to parents with their children. The focus of her photographic work is an expression and communication of the peacefulness and potential captured in life and experience.
Anne-Marie Comte has lived in North and Central America, Europe, South East Asia and Africa. Vancouver and the amazing West Coast have been her home since the early 1990s.
